Sylvan Online offers a unique diagnostic tool – an Online Skills Assessment – to precisely identify your child's Skill Gaps. Our diagnostic Online Skills Assessment is based on a nationally recognized standardized assessment. Your child takes this test at home - where he is comfortable and in control. No test anxiety, no worries about whether he's working slower than the other kids, no intimidating teacher looming over him. Think of it as an Academic X-Ray for your child.

Our Educational Director then uses the results of this assessment, along with input from you and your child, to develop a learning plan – an educational prescription – to remedy her Skill Gaps. The plan is tailored to your child's specific needs. Since no two children are alike, no two learning plans are identical. This learning plan becomes the basis for a personalized Sylvan Online tutoring program. In short, we teach what your child needs to learn.

We Continually Monitor Your Child's Progress
As your child moves through her learning program, we continually adjust her learning plan, based on her performance – and input from you and your child's Sylvan Online teachers. We'll keep you informed and involved every step of the way. After each 36-hour learning segment, we'll measure your child's progress and give you a Progress Assessment based on her skill growth. In just months, you'll see measurable results that boost your child's grades, her self- confidence, and her love of learning.
